SAVE THE DATES | AN AUDIOVISUAL ARCHIVE

Save the Dates – An audiovisual archive for contemporary art was created by Katerina Zacharopoulou in collaboration with the Athens School of Fine Arts, in order to save the TV and Radio show The Era of Images aired from 1995 to 2021, constituting a very wide field of research of contemporary art. It includes 620 archives of fully documented and classified shows that enable access and viewing. Home of the archive is the Library of the Athens School of Fine Arts.

A 26-year collection of thoughts, works, voices, exhibitions, experiences and trust, thousands of hours of personal research by Katerina Zacharopoulou, journeys in and out of the country, and meetings that are worth mentioning.

Part of the archive was created while the show was airing on the television station Seven X (1995 – 1999) and was followed by a long presentation of the show on ERT the Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation (2000 – 2021) which granted the usage rights of all the TV Show Archives exclusively for educational use and scientific research.

The archive and the program Save the Dates – an audiovisual archive for contemporary art preserves dates, historical moments and constitutes a 26-years journal of vivid creation and presence of the art scene. It is open to those who wish to work, research, inspire, educate, remember, discover and transform its content creatively.
