NEON invites you to the opening of the exhibition BREAKING NEWS – ATHENS by Michael Landy, at 7pm on Thursday 30 March, at the Diplarios School in Athens.

NEON and British artist Michael Landy invite the public to express what Athens means to them by sending in images – news, headlines, text messages, aphorisms, symbols, logos, slogans and graffiti – reflecting the current state of our society.

Landy then transform these images into his own lexicon of blue and white sign-drawings that portray the city as seen through the eyes of its inhabitants and visitors; capturing contemporary Athens, its social and political landscape.

Those members of the public whose images are selected by Michael Landy will receive his related print work at the end of the exhibition.
