A mini-festival within the Festival

The Athens Epidaurus Festival introduces Gen 260 – a new initiative and a gesture of its cultural policy, designed to serve as a breeding ground for the next generation of performing artists and to evolve into an institution for their showcase.

The goal of Gen 260 is to bring the audience into contact with the creativity and distinct, personal directorial vision of young artists, while simultaneously operating as a networking hub with industry professionals and as an open, evolving framework for collaborations both within and beyond national borders.

Gen 260 offers a substantial platform of expression for young creators, giving them the opportunity to become an active part of the artistic programme. This year, the programme focuses on graduates of officially recognized Directing schools in Greece.
