CONVERSATIONS | LYDIA MATTHEWS & ANTREA TZOUROVITS

Lydia Matthews, Professor Emerita of Visual Culture in Parsons Fine Arts program and founding Director of the Curatorial Design Research Lab at The New School meets artist Antrea Tzourovits at NEON’s exhibition space of togetherness.

They will explore the path Tzourovits has taken to develop the work You know you can see your nose all the time, but your brain decides to ignore it somehow (2024) which is currently on view at the Drama School of the Greek National Theatre | School of Athens – Irene Papas and is a new commission by NEON to the artist. The conversation will address the history and life experiences linked to Tzourovits’s family’s migration to Greece – his aesthetic education both inside and outside of formal art colleges, and the conceptual territories that drive his practice.

This conversation is presented as part of the collaboration between NEON and Fulbright Greece for the public programme of space of togetherness.
