With the exhibition THE END. AFTER BEFORE, artist BLIND ADAM attempts to illuminate man’s relationship with the divine and the chthonic as well as the eternal confrontation of the forces of good and evil within himself. The narrative is composed of a series of sculptures that attempt to awaken the existential and imaginary sphere of the viewer. Their materials, both natural (corals, shells, volcanic stones, sponges, bones, wood) and artificial (PVC, rubber, iron, aluminum), have been processed so that their original texture is barely visible.
The exhibition, which was originally installed in the catacomb of the Russian Church last May, was censored by the clergy and was therefore canceled. The “blasphemous” works are being presented this time at the basement of BIOS and invite the visitor to a new reading.
