EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM | FLYING OVER THE ABYSS

What is contemporary art?
Is there a right or wrong way of interpreting it?
How and why do everyday objects suddenly become art?

These are just some of the questions raised by the Hellenic Children’s Museum’s ‘Is this Art?’ program as it explores the various contemporary art movements represented in NEON’s exhibition Flying over the Abyss in the new cultural venue at the Athens Conservatoire.

‘Is this Art?’ is aimed at children in 5th and 6th grade elementary school, middle school and high school. It takes place at the Athens Conservatoire every Sunday from November 18th, 2016 until January 29th, 2017 and on weekdays during the school holidays.

Entry is free but advance booking, through the Hellenic Children’s Museum, is essential.

‘Is this Art?’ is funded by NEON and has been designed and organized in partnership with the Hellenic Children’s Museum.
