In the context of the exhibition A Thousand Doors, the work of Emilia Bouriti Time Space Energy was presented on 25th & 26th June, in the gardens of the Gennadius Library. The work comprises a site-specific installation and performance, which explore the notion of the human body as a living sculpture. The body, through a constant interchange between movement and stillness, activates the space and investigates its dynamic connections with space and time. As the artist says: “The body creates a dialogue with the surroundings by ‘unfolding’ the different planes, and thus redefines its relationship with time and energy. The body, functioning as both transmitter and receiver, attracts through an alchemical process cosmic forces which transforms it into a ‘body of light’.”
