Selected participants will be contacted in April 2020.

Applications are reviewed by the Whitechapel Gallery & NEON.

All travel expenses including accommodation, flights and per diem are covered by the programme.

All selected participants to the Exchange are entitled to apply to the NEON Curatorial Award.

The Whitechapel Gallery, London and NEON, Athens, invite emerging curators to apply for the 9th annual NEON Curatorial Exchange.

Open Call | NEON Curatorial Exchange: Greece to London

The exchange offers the opportunity for ten young curators based in Greece to be introduced to the diverse London art scene, to connect with colleagues abroad, and to exchange ideas and experiences.

An organised trip to London will take place between 7–11 June 2020 (exact travel dates to be confirmed). The programme will include presentations and talks by gallery directors and curators as well as meetings with leading figures from the British art scene. Participants will follow an organised itinerary visiting a number of galleries and artists’ studios providing opportunities to network.

Open Call | NEON Curatorial Exchange: London to Greece

The exchange offers the opportunity for young curators based in the UK to be introduced to the diverse Greek art scene, to connect with colleagues abroad, and to exchange ideas and experiences.

An organised trip to Athens will take place between 12–16 July 2020 (exact travel dates to be confirmed). The programme will include presentations and talks by gallery directors and curators as well as meetings with leading
figures from the Greek art scene. Participants will follow an organised itinerary visiting a number of galleries and artists’ studios providing opportunities to network.
