The neon.org.gr website is the NEON Organization website (hereinafter referred to as the Company).

C) If you make a reservation form an event we register your email address, your name and surname.

D) The website uses Google Analytics (GA) to track user activity. We use this data to determine the number of people who use our website, to better understand how they find and use our websites, and to observe their way through the website.

Although GA records data such as your geographic location, your device, your web browser, and your operating system, none of this information makes you personally known to us. GA also records the IP address of your computer, which could be used to identify you, but Google does not give us access to it. We believe that Google is a third party data processor.

GA uses cookies, details of which can be found in Google’s developer guides. For your information, our website uses the GA analytics.js application.

Disabling cookies in your browser will prevent GA from tracking any part of your page visits within this website.

For what purpose do we process your information?

We collect your Data solely for the purposes of the neon.org.gr website and in particular for a) tracking visitation the website b) complying with the obligations imposed by applicable law, c) sending “newsletter” information material for the Company’s exhibitions and activities, d) providing services of registration – reservation for events. These information are not made public, except to the personnel authorized to satisfy the user’s request.

What is the legal basis for your data processing by the Company?

The website user data is processed either within the framework of the services offered or based on the user’s own consent.

As regards your Data relating to the sending of newsletters, the reservation for events and the use of cookies, the lawfulness of their processing is based on your consent.

Who Are Your Data Recipients?

The Recipients of the Data are the absolutely necessary personnel of the Company, which is committed to confidentiality and our affiliates, who process your Data as executing the Processing on our behalf and in accordance with our instructions. We use Mailchimp service, which provides us with email marketing services and Eventbrite service for event reservation.

In addition, we may share or disclose your Data when you have explicitly requested it or when required by law.

How do we ensure that Processing Officers respect your Personal Data?

The Data Processors have agreed and are contractually bound by the Company:

  • to maintain confidentiality,
  • not to send to third parties Data without the Company’s permission,
  • to take appropriate security measures,
  • to comply with the legal framework for the protection of personal data and in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Do We Send Your Data Abroad?

Your data is transmitted to non-EU countries only due to our cooperation with Processing Officers located outside the EU, such as e.g. the above Mailchimp company that provides us with email marketing services and Eventbrite company for event reservation services. In each case, appropriate safeguards are in place, in particular the EU-US Privacy Shield system.

When do we delete your Data?

We delete your Newsletter Consent Data once you have stated that you no longer wish to receive newsletters by selecting the link https://neon.us7.list-manage.com/unsubscribe?u=011c8ebd1bf20a2c80c538881&id=0df98a37e4  or within six months of the last newsletter mailing. Your Data that are transmitted to third parties we collaborate (Eventbrite providing services for event registration), will be kept only for the time needed to fulfil the purpose of their collection.

The data collected by Cookies is deleted in accordance with our Cookie Policy.

For how long will we send you newsletters?

We will only send you newsletters with your consent, as long as your information is on the ‘newsletter mailing list’, i.e. if six months have not elapsed since the newsletter has been stopped and you have not indicated that you no longer wish to receive newsletters.

Is Your Data Safe?

We are committed to safeguarding your Personal Data. We have taken appropriate organizational and technical measures to safeguard and protect your Data from any form of accidental or unauthorized processing.

We use Electronic Security Socket Layer (SSL) to ensure the secure exchange of data between the website and your browser.

These measures shall be reviewed and amended where necessary.

In any case, the processing of your Data is only permitted by our authorized persons, employees and associates solely for the purposes stated above (see answer to question 5).

What are your rights?

You can ask us to read the Data you have provided, or ask us to forward it to another controller.

You have the right to limit processing.

You can ask us to limit the processing of your Data for as long as your processing of objections is pending.

You have the right to object to the processing of your Data.

You may object to the processing of your Data or revoke your consent, and we will stop processing your Data unless there are other compelling and legitimate reasons that prevail over your right.

How can you exercise your rights?

In order to exercise your rights you can send a request either to the Company’s postal address (89 Amarousiou – Chalandriou str. 15233) or to our email address (contact@neon.org.gr) with the subject “Exercise of Access / Rectification / Erasure / Restriction / Opposition”.  We shall look into it and reply to you as soon as possible.

When do we respond to your Requests?

We will respond to your Inquiries free of charge without delay, and in any case within one (1) month after we receive your request. However, if your Request is complex or there is a large number of your Requests, we shall let you know within the month if an extension of another (2) two months within which to respond is necessary.

If your Claims are obviously unfounded or excessive in particular because of their recurring nature, the Company may charge a reasonable fee, taking into account administrative costs for providing the information or performing the requested action or we may refuse to respond to the Request.
