A workshop that will inspire children age 8 – 16 to create their own art works and leave a personal footprint on their neighborhood.

The journey will start with a walk around the area of Municipal cinema STELLA. The children will record surrounding sounds, interview people and document their thoughts and feelings.

Municipal cinema STELLA will be used as a laboratory, and a creative hub.

The workshop offers to the children, an opportunity to familiarize with contemporary artists and their works, such as Jenny Holzer, Fiona Banner, Glenn Ligon. Using the material they gathered on the walk, they will write a text.

The workshop ends with exhibiting their artworks, and listening to the recordings from the walk. Municipal cinema STELLA is their voice and a way to perceive the neighborhood and daily lives.

Y2 conduct workshops aimed at familiarizing children with contemporary art and the new trends in experimental music. Based in Y2Lab and through a series of projects, Y2 support experimentation by firmly believing in the innate ability of children to discover and create. Y2 consists of visual artist Maria Kachramanoglou and musician Michalis Moschoutis.
