ΝΕΟΝ participates in Athens Culture Net (ACN) Culture Night and invites the public to a late night exploration of Panos Kokkinias’ Stock Images, organized as part of NEON City Project 2019 at 4 Sofokleous St., Athens. On Friday October 4th, Stock Images will be open for visitors until midnight.

NEON reopens a former office space in the center of Athens to present a new perspective of the city and the people who reside within it, through a photography exhibition of Panos Kokkinias. Stock Images, is the first photography exhibition to be commissioned for NEON CITY PROJECT, the annual site specific contemporary art initiative, and is curated by Shoair Mavlian, Director of Photoworks.

CITY PROJECT is an initiative for public art and the city, conceived and commissioned annually by NEON to a Greek artist. NEON aims to activate public and historical places through contemporary art, contributing to the interaction of art, society and the city. NEON’s previous City Projects include Aemilia Papaphilippou at the Ancient Agora of Athens (2014), Maria Loizidou at the Kerameikos Archaeological Site and Museum (2015), Zafos Xagoraris at a parking space in Athens behind the historic Αthinaion theatre (2016), Kostis Velonis at a historical residence at 11 Kaplanon Street (2017) and Andreas Lolis at the British School at Athens (2018).
